On Monday January 14^th the festive ceremony for the Entrepreneur of the Year Midden-Holland Awards 2019 took place in the Gouda Theater. Stinis Holland was announced as the winner of this prestigious award in the Large Business category. Karin Bloemen, a well-known Dutch comedian, hosted the ceremony and she entertained all guests with her flamboyant speeches.

The Midden-Holland Entrepreneurs Award 2019 provides a platform for entrepreneurs and businesses that have managed to distinguish themselves through expansion, innovation, sustainability and social commitment. Hard-working entrepreneurs who have earned their place in the spotlight. The jury portrayed Stinis as “personal, involved and highly professional” and called us an innovative company, ready to take on the future, and sustainable in all senses of the word.

In the words of Bert de Bever, Stinis Holland’s managing director: “We are incredibly proud that the Stinis team was chosen to receive this award. Once again, I would like to say thank you to the municipality of Krimpenerwaard for shortlisting our company and the jury for their trust and recognition! We will celebrate this for sure.”

Stinis Holland has been nominated for the Middle Holland Entrepreneurs Prize 2019! A good reason to throw a party!

We are really proud to have been nominated in the Large Business category for the Middle Holland Entrepreneurs Prize 2019! The Middle Holland Entrepreneurs Prize 2019 provides a platform for entrepreneurs and businesses that have managed to distinguish themselves through expansion, innovation, sustainability and social commitment. Hard-working entrepreneurs who have earned their place in the spotlight.

The festive announcement of the nominees was in the Stijlkamer in Gouda last Monday 26 November. Besides Stinis, the following businesses have been nominated;

The Jury visited our business in Krimpen aan de Lek on Monday 3 December! We passionately talked about our business, employees, clients and suppliers. We are now keeping our fingers crossed, because the winner of each category will be declared on 14 January 2019!

Our company is a nominee for the OOM award for the province of Zuid-Holland. The non-profit organization Opleiding Ontwikkeling Metaalbewerking [Training Development Metalworking] – better known as OOM – focuses on promoting a culture of life-long learning within the Dutch metalworking industry. They have investigated which companies have been most active in training existing employees and guiding students towards success. OOM has told us that our strategy sets a shining example for the industry.

Over the last few years, our efforts in training our existing workforce and our successful trajectory for mentoring students have paid off. We are now in the top three metalworking companies in Zuid-Holland. To put this in the right perspective: there are almost 2500 metalworking companies in the region.

In September a jury of three entrepreneurs – chosen in cooperation with the Metaalunie, the Dutch collaborative organ for entrepreneurs in the mechanical engineering field – will visit Stinis to determine which of the three nominated companies will become the winner. The award ceremony will be held on September 14 2018, during the annual meeting of the Metaalunie.
