ship to shore crane spreaders features
Optimized
Visibility
Our monobeam constructions allows for a slim midframe that gives your operators optimal sight lines on the container and its surroundings, while your technicians have easy access during maintenance.
Fast & Smooth
Telescoping
We achieve great telescope speeds because we use a hydraulic powered, steel reinforced rubber belt to move the monobeam. This construction is optimized for high speed, high durability, low sound emissions and little maintenance. It doesn’t even need to be lubricated!
Powerful
Flippers
Our flippers are made of high tensile steel and are driven by cylinder based actuators. Stinis flippers have proven to be ultra-powerful when guiding the spreader onto the container resulting in more container moves per hour.
Collision Protection
A mechanical blocking device is mounted inside the midframe to absorb shocks to the end beam that result from a collision with a container or the cells inside a vessel. This improves the spreader life span and reduces the need for costly maintenance.
Automatic Greasing System
Our automatic greasing system can service up to 80 greasing points on your spreader. The system guarantees consistent spreader performance and reduces wear and tear. You see this returned as less downtime and lower maintenance cost.
Patented Twistlock Design
The twistlock is one of the most critical components of your spreader. Our patented double collar twistlock design provides the longest possible life span for your twistlocks and allows for easy removal of the twistlock nut for non-destructive testing.
Twin Twenty Detection System
TTDS is a security system that prevents the spreader from locking onto two containers while the spreader is in single container mode. The system uses gap sensors and roof sensors to ensure that a pair of containers cannot be mistaken for a single one.
Landing
Pin
Our spreaders are equipped with a landing pin on the side of each twistlock of the spreader. All landing pins have to be individually raised to enable the twistlocks to lock/unlock.
Memory Positioning System (LTW Only)
Adjust the long-twin distance from 0 to 1600 mm and configure different set points for the twin unit distance.
Hydraulic Loadsense System
The spreader is equipped with an energy saving hydraulic system. The setup uses a pump with a variable output which allows the pressure, flow and power to be controlled. When no functions are being used on the spreader, and thus no oil is needed, the pump will reduce its variable output to the absolute minimum.
Easy To Use Touch Screen
Our spreaders are equipped with a touch screen that displays valuable information such as the spreader status and error logs. The touch screen also allows for manual spreader control to support your crews during tests and maintenance.

ship to shore crane spreaders options
LED Lights
Dimmable
Our spreaders can be equipped with dimmable LED lights. Several options are available to enhance safety.
Corner
flippers (4)
Our ship to shore spreaders are standard equipped with four (4) strong moveable corner flippers. The corner flipper design includes a safety bar to prevent the flipper from falling in the event of an accident.
Flat
flippers (6)
Equip your spreader with six (6) moveable flat flippers to increase quay crane productivity. Placing your spreader on top of a container that is positioned close to other boxes
Cameras at
the Twistlock
Clear vision is essential for maintaining optimal levels of efficiency and safety when you lift cargo. Your preferred camera type can be mounted on the adjustable brackets.
LED Lights At
The Twistlocks
Time pressure leaves no room for error, let alone accidents. To improve operator performance and for safety purposes, LED lights can be installed at the twistlocks to improve visibility of the corner castings of the container. These are very effective in combination with twistlock cameras when working in the ship’s cells.
Stinis
Insight
Improve the performance of your spreader fleet with our remote monitoring system. Stinis Insights reports the health status and performance of your spreader fleet and gives insights into spreader status and fault messages for instant trouble shooting.
Active Shock
Absorption®
Our active shock absorption system reduces noise at your terminal. This enables you to operate 24/7 even if your terminal is in the vicinity of residential areas. The decreased shocks also help increase the lifespan of the spreader.
Stacking
Fitting Boxes
The mono-beam structure enables us to reduce the width of the midframe of the spreader. This allows you to install stacking fitting boxes on the side of the spreader.
Ladders To
Headblock
The limited width of the midframe allows you to install anti-slip ladders on the side of the spreader to climb up the headblock.
Height indication
system
The Height Indication System consists of a proximity switch (reach 0.8 – 6 meter) with 1 or 2 set-points, to measure the distance between the underside of the spreader and the top of the container. This system allows you to reduce the landing speed when approaching the container.
Corner Roll
Cell Guidance
Cell guidance reduces friction between the spreader and the ship cell, which decreases the risk of a spreader getting stuck inside the vessel. The reduced friction also allows for higher speeds of operation inside the ship, which, allows your operators to do their best work.
Corner Pyramid
Cell Guidance
Cell guidance reduces friction between the spreader and the ship cell, which decreases the risk of a spreader getting stuck inside the vessel. The reduced friction also allows for higher speeds of operation inside the ship, which, allows your operators to do their best work.
Overheight
Brackets
Four (4) brackets can be installed on the endbeams of your spreader to connect various brands of overheight frames, thus improving the versatility of the spreader.
Snow
Endbeam
The snow end beam is a useful option for terminals that experience snow, sand or debris on containers. Instead of needing to clear the whole container, it removes snow, sand and debris from around the corner castings. This results in smoother operation and could extend the lifetime of your spreader end beam.
STRONG FLIPPER DESIGN
AT YOUR SERVICE
Our dedicated specialists travel to your site to troubleshoot your equipment whenever you need them. If you prefer to let your own staff do the work, we can provide a thorough analysis and will support your technicians from afar.
